Steal Adcock, M.A.,LPC

Steal Adcock is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who provides therapy to children, teens, adults, couples, and families via telehealth. He works with clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief, relationship challenges, and other life stressors, helping them build coping skills, process difficult experiences, and create meaningful change.

Steal understands that life can be complex and overwhelming, and that reaching out for help isn’t always easy. He strives to create a supportive, trusting environment where clients feel comfortable discussing the deeper, more difficult parts of their lives. He views therapy as a collaborative process focused on gaining insight, developing practical tools, and moving toward a more fulfilling and balanced life.

His approach is flexible and tailored to each individual, drawing from evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure Therapy. Steal has experience working with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), phobias, trauma, behavioral challenges, communication difficulties, self-esteem, boundary setting, and suicidal thoughts, and he emphasizes empowering clients to find what works best for them.

Steal earned his Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Houston–Victoria and his Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Psychology from St. Mary’s University. He maintained a 4.0 GPA during his graduate studies and was named to the Dean’s List during his undergraduate education.

In addition to his clinical work, Steal has conducted and co-authored psychological research on anxiety sensitivity, caffeine, and sleep, which he presented at a national conference in Denver, Colorado, and was later published in a peer-reviewed journal. He also has experience administering psychological assessments for intelligence, personality, and learning-related concerns.

Outside of therapy, Steal enjoys writing, filmmaking, podcasting, painting, and exploring a wide range of ideas. He is passionate about continuous learning and often spends time researching topics ranging from quantum physics to philosophical questions about consciousness and even arguments surrounding the existence of God.
